AWT® – Acoustic Wave Therapy
Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT) performed with the D-ACTOR® 100 uses a radial handpiece to introduce high-energy acoustic waves into the patient’s body in the form of high-frequency oscillations for the treatment of cellulite stage I to III.
Acoustic waves have been used in medicine since 1980 for the disintegration of kidney stones (ESWL) and since 1992 for the treatment of orthopaedic conditions such as tendon and muscle disorders (ESWT).
The system allows automatic documentation of each treatment and of the therapy progress in a patient management system. Treatment photos and videos, including operating instructions are also included.
The radial handpiece can be controlled entirely from the control module or by using the handpiece display. The frequency and energy level can be selected directly from the handpiece.
